At L2 VIP check in the RV next to use had about 24 bottles of champagne seized. I guess the whole fridge was full of glass bottles It was crazy to watch security cart it out

Well, we didn't either, but that's not because we adhered to the "one case of beer per car" rule. The car in front of us with 4 folks had most of their beer seized, because it was "too much", not because it was glass.

Our first case was gone on Friday.

Admittedly, we were sharing a lot of beers, other than just at the M&G, but that rule is just wrong.

They tend to enforce "reasonable" and not the year's definition of it. And to help beer sales (perhaps), if they say one case per person, everyone brings two (eight per car) but one case per car, everyone brings four (per car).

My guy said to me, "and if you have any glass bottles, please dispose of them responsibly."

He did not look into the two 12 packs of Coke with the ends resealed.

Going into the venue, a savvy searcher--not even working the lines--spotted my fake sunscreen flask in my back pocket and ignominously emptied it into the dust. She did, however, give it back, with a third-grade teacher look of distain.

So, I had posted about the kegerator and I was admonished by some who "follow all the rules and regulations" and told by others that it was a crapshoot. Someone asked me to report back how we did. So here I am (sorry for all the rule followers who feel I am in the wrong).

We were successful in getting the kegerator and three 5 gallon kegs in along with the taps. It was a piece of art that posed as a trash can with two sugar skulls on it coming in because the top was too wide for the door, so it had to be removed. We enjoyed our ginger beer and ipa and apple ale for the four day weekend and managed to avoid putting out $70-$80/night in beer that we did not like as well. Sorry for those I have irritated, but you can rest easy in the fact that we had a scary search when the dog leapt into the camper and went after the chicken tenders my mother had sent with my sisters and I.

I had an account but had not signed in and I was not being defensive or upset. I did not want anyone to tell me how to break the rules and I apologize for using the quotes. I would not have whined, but may have whimpered slightly as they poured it out . I am quite certain that some statements that of course they follow rules and regs were admonishment. A little difficult to follow that without quotes but I am putting it out there. I wasn't intending on whining or bitching and I wasn't feeling defensive so I apologize for coming off that way. Just trying to report on how we did because someone had asked that I do that.

All in all, it was an excellent time. Wish I could post a picture of the kegerator that was made for me - it was beautiful and will come in handy for Festy. Hope all had a great time.

And the most valuable information: the chicken tenders diversion!

No one on here follows the rules. We were just telling you what the rules are and the likely outcome of getting caught breaking them. That is not admonishment.

Sounds like one of the cops just brought his pet dog in to intimidate people. A  trained drug/bomb dog would not have been diverted with chicken tenders--they are trained NOT to take any food from anyone but their handlers!  Fido was just out on a field trip and having the time of his life...

Nor have we in the 5 years we have gone. But I've known that we might and I'm not concerned about it.

I predict zero searches at Festy. Pack right, you'll be fine...

I'd expect a few token searches, a strong presence at the beginning, and searches geared toward security/safety rather than contraband. Sue's plan should work fine. Scattered and diversion.

Try to find quart cans. A case of those will last significantly longer than a case of 12 oz'ers.
