Pear Harbor day is a day of remembrance witch is special in some hearts. December 7th is special because it's my birthday & my Mom was told she would never have another child when my older brother was born. While I don't have flights to book, I think it's pretty dumb to leave everyone hanging about Wed entry this late in the game. We all have arrangements to make (and possibly additional costs to incur).

A similar thing was done here in WI for Alpine Valley. They banned camping after a rowdy 1985 Dead crowd terrorized neighboring farms, and were just recently approved to introduce camping again for the DMB show July 1-2. They only started selling camping this past Friday; I think waiting until just weeks before the show to sell camping was ridiculous. I'm mighty a'feared that they will pull the same thing with Lock'n.

Just posted on FB. Looks like Wednesday entry is only for RV's and VIP general campers. Appears everyone else can enter starting at 6 am on Thursday morning.

Look on the bright side: the fact that you are banned from Wednesday entry based on the fact that you are a lowly GA camper in a tent is much easier to swallow than if you were allowed in but couldn't go until Thursday because your wife has to work on Wednesday...

Early Entry (GA RV Campers and Select VIP/Super VIP Campers Only)

This year, to help the LOCKN’ traffic plan, a limited amount of ticket holders will be allowed to register for early entry to the campgrounds on Wednesday, August 24, between 4PM and 8PM EDT. Early entry is only available for GA RV Campers and select VIP and Super VIP Campers with pre-registration (click HERE to purchase Early Entry registration). All other ticket holders will not be able to arrive until Thursday morning. For those registered for Wednesday early access to the RV High Field campgrounds, please do not plan to arrive before 4PM or after 8PM EDT on Wednesday. After 8PM EDT on Wednesday, access to the campgrounds will be closed until Thursday, August 25 at 6AM EDT.

GA RV Camping Pass holders and VIP/Super VIP ticket holders who do not register for Wednesday early entry will be able to access the festival grounds starting 6AM EDT on Thursday. Please note that we have a limited amount of early admission registrations and cannot guarantee early entry to those who do not register in advance. Any vehicles that arrive on Wednesday without pre-registering for early admission are not guaranteed entrance, and are subject to a fee.

A limited number of food vendors and the on-site general store will be open on Wednesday. There will be no programming on Wednesday. Exiting the campground with your vehicle will not be permitted until Friday, August 26 at 12PM EDT. There is NO RE-ENTRY for vehicles in the Campgrounds.

I got the e-mail, but I am wondering where the GA RV "High Field" is located? A map would have been great. If the high field is that hill WAY back there facing the 2 main stages, no thanks!
That's one heckuva hike to get into the main area. We were there super early last year, and were fortunate enough to be right beside the gate leading up to the LOVE sign. It was also near the outdoor stage, which was awesome! Anyone have any idea if the High Field is indeed that area?

So basically, early entry would allow me to pick a better spot to camp, not have as many other people at check in, and just chill all day Thursday till the music starts? Am I missing any other perks? I ask b/c the trade off for me is working Wed, rushing home, load the car, pick up dry ice, and get there around 7PM. I'm not a huge partier though I'll have a few, and suppose would use Thursday to walk around the grounds and see everything I didn't have time for last year.

Am I missing any other major points here? Thanks.
