Unlikely, but what do I know?
Honestly I hung out a bit in Garcia's when it was on Shakedown in L2. It was a great location and convenient. Never made it there during L3 (IMO, too close to BRB). Don't see myself trekking out there this year. Too far away. A good place to pop in on your way to somewhere else but not a destination in itself. Maybe, maybe if it was after late-night and you were still wide awake. Maybe.

- and yes the Garcia's tent was great on Shakedown, I guess if i'm still ready to go after phish on Sunday I could make it over to unwind before going to sleep. But i'll most likely be totally drained at that point on Sunday.

Yeah, if you were camped close, I could see going over there. Not too many people are camped close, though. I'm certainly not.

We stayed in the High Field area last year. I think the W area you are asking about, is indeed a low area. I hear ya on the long walk. We got up at 2am from Devils Backbone brewery, gathered our things and split. We were in line by about 3:15, and we were one of the first 75 RV's to enter.

Actually camped right next to it is the ONLY way I figure I make it there at all. The Woods Stage as well for that matter.

So you can expect all SVIP--tents, BYORV and on-site RV to be inside or on the track, where the pond is. It's not as close to the VIP entrance but it's a short level walk--but you lose the view, sounds and breeze from the hill for the car campers. All level for RV's.
Meanwhile VIP covers the whole steeplechase. You can expect the VIP Rv's, both BYO and onsite, to be on the track where it's level and the car camping on the hill. This, in my opinion, is primo for VIP--closer, better view, breeze for campers, bigger area (they oversold it last year).
I bet the rock-star buses and glamping will still be on the top of the ridge (eastern side) of VIP.
They better have more bathrooms/showers for VIP than they show here.

Thanks! Happy to be here. I've hit the last 15 Jazz Fests and the last several Phish fests, but aside from a few Summercamps back many years ago (I think I hit the first two or three when I was living in Chicago), this will be my first non-Jazz Fest, non-Phish festy in along time. Stoked!
Out of curiosity, where did the VIP RV parking used to be? And do you happen to know if this VIP area is all grass?
Thanks again!
