Wristbands

Given what I have seen of Locken's organization skills at the site and the webcasts that give you a glimpse into their level of professionalism crossed with my understanding of data analytics, I can assure you nothing of value will come from any RFID chip regardless of where it is inserted. At best they might eventually get excel to give them the average entrance rate at the gates so they can staff accordingly. That information would then get passed to the second layer of management. Assuming it was not lost underneath a copy of Mother Jones on their desk, the 3rd tier managers would in turn be given daily staffing ratios. Finally, shift supervisors would have to systematically pull the stoned volunteers away from the grill cheese trucks to get them to the appropriate gate at the appropriate time. None of this is likely to happen.

I was largely joking above and mostly about paranoia of RFIDs. I would definitely except the security and in defense of the volunteers, i guess you get what you pay for....

I am one of the volunteers and I don't know what they do on their time off, but I can say that NONE of the volunteers on ANY of the shifts I've worked were stoned. So please don't lump us all together and say we're "stoned most of the time in general". That's the same as saying "all the hired security guys are pricks".

Keep in mind that at no point has there been any indication that there would be RFID chips in the bracelets.

You will not receive a hard ticket as in years past. Instead you’ll receive an RFID wristband that will act as your “ticket” to enter the Festival. Be sure to wear your wristband at all times at the Festival.

Just me, but I consider that pretty good confirmation.

I figured that was a smokescreen. I get all my solid info from right here and have very little use for the propaganda coming out of the official misinformation outlet. But good find and thanks for sharing... If it's true.
