i have all my tickets and camping passes framed with a poster. this year would have completed it. kinda bummed! hopefully camping still printed, I could wing it that way. I'm wondering the same thing, and then I found the FAQ y'all have been referring to (Finally. I was looking under "FAQ/Tickets".) Since it say you can't remove the thing ever, from the time it gains you entry until you're ready to leave for good, then I guess it will be involved for getting to the field or else they wouldn't be so adamant about it? More and more this does seem like a recipe for slowing down the lines. I'm not so sure how it "speeds/ enhances" purchase of concessions/ beer either. Hard to tell how many ppl will opt in for sync'ing it with their bank accounts vs cash, and even then, would vendors have 2 separate lines for one set of patrons vs the other? My husband is bummed about the no ticket. He likes to keep the stubs. Unless you want to read the FAQs or something:
So I’m not getting a ticket?
You will not receive a hard ticket as in years past. Instead you’ll receive an RFID wristband that will act as your “ticket” to enter the Festival. Be sure to wear your wristband at all times at the Festival.
Just me, but I consider that pretty good confirmation.

$217 - $ spent on powerball tickets = ? I'm not big on having my card hooked to some wristband. With everyone getting hacked these days it seems like they would be an easy mark. I play powerball twice a week & when I do get that 6 or $20.00 I put it in a money envelope to save for Lockn'. Since the end of last September I have $217.00 extra just to blow. And like Moondi's husband I like the ticket stub.

If you really want to add it up I play the same 2 numbers twice a week with the power play, so that's $624.00 per year just to get $217.00. But I play win or lose & bank the cash. $217 - $ spent on powerball tickets = ? I'm not big on having my card hooked to some wristband. I started working on credit card based ecommerce in 1993, a few years I think before the word ecommerce was invented.I'm not big on having my card hooked to some wristband. sometimes I will be having lunch with someone who says using credit cards online is too risky. That person then hands his credit card to the waitress. The waitress is two months behind on her Kia loan that her parents co-signed for because her boyfriend has a meth problem.
70% of credit card fraud happens in bricks and mortar transactions, but no one ever says it's too risky. Always baffles me.

i find it weird that they'd mail or give out wristbands. if i keep it loose, what's to prevent me from stubbing all of you, a few at a time, into vip? once i'm in, nobody's looking at my wrist. a long sleeve at night fixes that, even if they tried. a step further, you could share bands among ticketless. confuddled here.

That's why I'm a cash carrier. I see people throw those card numbers like it's nothing. Now if they want what little cash I carry they can have it. If they are RFID wristbands, they will have to be registered beforehand, which is why they have to go out early. The way it worked at Bonnaroo is you'd register and then have your wristband at the car search/entrance. One year they said to leave the wristband off and they would scan it, then put the wristband on you. The next year they just said which wrist you needed to have it on when you showed up. But either way, I think they're not at all concerned with people slipping wristbands on and off. people that are going to do that are going to be doing it one way or the other. And with an RFID you can catch more of those people if you really wanted to and ID-ing them and checking it against their registration information. i like and keep stubs, but more and more the stub box gets just a wristband from fests.

And I too enjoy keeping ticket stubs. I keep all of mine in a commemorative lunchbox that Bonnaroo gave out as swag a few years ago. But since Bonnaroo hasn't had paper tickets when I've gone, I always cut my wristbands and keep them in a bag inside that lunchbox with the rest of my stubs.

Second, maybe they/we/someone sets up a booth for color your own commemorative ticket. Different price levels get you 3D etc. Have some base designs for stubs or laminates.

Only if they are checking you both in and out. Which I doubt they will do, but maybe.
So, they do check wristbands. Last year there was a guy w/ a GA wristband who was deaf. As part of his accommodation, he was allowed into the SVIP section, so he could, you know, actually see the translator. A fine accommodation. The problem was that he kept getting hassled by the security people for not having the right wristband. Every time if he went through all of the steps to get the supervisor and his person who translated for him was available, they backed off and let him stay in the SVIP, as he was supposed to be in there. They tried to eject him so many times...I know not the line workers fault, but not a good system and must have been very frustrating for him and them.
I am guessing they will still be color coded for the different access levels.

I was happy lockn never used the RFID. It's no big deal but I find it unnecessary. Hopefully this doesn't create long lines into the venue.
