I would like to see a Lockn for locals this year,markedly restricting tickets and out of state performers.just my 2 cents ...do the math with a crowd of 1000?
Dean Sottile Ok, before everyone feels high and mighty about throwing rocks, the folks at Lockn are working with HHS on the plan and strategy. It would most likely require their approval. Ultimately, they would like to have a statement from Fauci. It might not be as far fetched as you think. If you see it happen, you can apologize later...

Do the math with 1000 tickets.$40,000 - $50,000 ticket revenue per day, X 6 days = up to $300,000 in revenue from ticket sales alone.Kind of upset I was asked to do this, after being told that there would be no math...

Odd - bought my 2-person box for $100 shortly after 10:00. At some time after that, they raised the price on all the tickets, the 2-person went to $120. It's not 11:00 yet, and Saturday is already sold out!

second tier sellers? As I noted before, with the limited capacity, tickets for small events are like Dead & Co last year. If this reflects the "demand" of the market, let's get the promoters on with some more "supply".

I’m curious if people have gotten refunds for 2020 if you requested one. I put in a request and got the reply from Melissa saying nothing more needs to be done and they’ll get to me. I’ve got a bunch of money I put on these tickets and as so many people are in similar situations, I’m trying to survive. Right now this is feeling like I made a bad choice on lockn.

Welcome to the board! First I don't think you made a bad choice on LOCKN, though I can see how you might feel that way. There really is no excuse for the refund process to take this long. I’m curious if people have gotten refunds for 2020 if you requested one. I put in a request and got the reply from Melissa saying nothing more needs to be done and they’ll get to me. They should at least address it head on and acknowledge the difficulties this is causing their fans, some of whom may not return. This is my biggest beef with LOCKN is their lack of coherent communication with their fans. They could learn a lot from Festy. They are constantly keeping the fans informed, maybe too much at times. I would send Melissa another email with your order number to assistance@lockfestival.com and see if she can give you any further information. Many have received their refunds. Hopefully you get yours soon.
Whatever you do though, while you are here, please DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS!!

Did I miss some info on upgrading to the flex tickets? Last I remember seeing was “after the 9/27 date to cancel”. I’m still being optimistic that it will be a possibility, but I’m also about to be out of work again and could use that money back.

The window to request a refund closed on 9/27/2020. All tickets will automatically be rolled over to 2021 if you did not specifically request a refund. That refund will be issued within 30 business days back to the card you used to purchase with, and you will receive an email from Front Gate Tickets at that time. If you need to confirm either the card on file, the total refund amount or learn more about the rollover option, feel free to reach me via phone (***-***-****) at your convenience, as these are details we typically do not share via email. Otherwise, you can keep your eyes peeled for that email from Front Gate Tickets confirming your refund when it is issued!

Most certainly not alone. Rolling over was not a option for me this year so i requested a refund. I've been laying low being patient and following the program trying not being a pain in the ass because that's not me but the time has come and gone to refund the money that was promised. Enough is enough. This certainly is a good way to make my first lick at LOCKN leave a bad taste for sure. I still plan on being at the farm next year but can't let the funds ride till then with so much uncertainty these days. Sadly you are not alone. I had a refund request in, and then went back to work around the time the date moved to 2021 so we decided to roll over instead, and see about the flex tickets in case it still was too risky. I just hadn't seen an announcement about the flex. If I get any info from Melissa, I'll let y'all know.Most certainly not alone. I've been laying low being patient and following the program trying not being a pain in the ass because that's not me but the time has come and gone to refund the money that was promised. I've been trying to take care of other business the last couple months, plus the lovable new puppy with a clear demonic side (I write imaginary good dog/bad dog horror movie scripts around him and his dual personalities). Sooooooo, not paying too much attention to Lockn refund and flex info. I let the 2020 GA wristband and GA RV camping with early arrival just ride to 2021. Partially because if they hold it at all, I know in the worst case situation I can isolate on the campground, isolate on the show field, and be careful in food lines, and all will be fine (I have psychedelic Dead oriented face masks from JamminOn [Lockn booth exhibitor] that I LOOK for opportunities to wear). My only fear is a really weak 2021 lineup, but I'll survive that by hearing new bands.
So with all that narrative blather indulged, I need to ask from those paying more attention - where am I sitting for 2021? Do I need to look into flex? I know the refund deadline passed. Any other strategic things to consider? Can I just continue to let everything ride without paying attention?
By the way, Melissa helped me on several festivals last year. Melissa is the best, the guru of Mid-Atlantic festivals, and will do her best for all. I'm with TOO, Melissa's magic and effort need no questioning! Patience with Lockn' is a fair tradeoff to endure! I'm just asking about the minor strategic decisions from what little is known about 2021 Covid so far.

I don't think that you really have to "do" anything but wait like the rest of us. I'm not 100% sure what a flex ticket is. It sounds like very expensive travel insurance that allows you to cancel for any reason and get your money back. If they handle that process like they are handling the refunds now, NO THANKS! Who knows about the lineup. It could go either way. I don't really care, LOCKN never disappoints me. I really feel for Melissa right now. I know that she is catching a lot of shit about refunds when the actual payment part of the process is out of her control. Thanks for messaging and I am sorry I have not gotten back to you sooner. Unfortunately, Lyte is no longer able to sell Flex Tickets to next year’s festival; however, we’re continuing to find a partner who can work with LOCKN’ and offer fans fully refundable tickets.
