Thank you all for welcoming me to the fold. We’re passing on August. My better half is sufficiently pissed that he swears he’ll never give Shapiro another penny, and he spent many nights at the Wetlands. But that refund will make at least a small dent in the bills from unemployment.

You don't have to leave we'll still be around. Plenty of smartassery left to go around. People will be salty for a bit (and rightly so) but this too shall pass.

TOO you mentioned 6,000 capacity--do you think these shows might sell out at that number? At least anytime, well, you know...?

I'm considering JRAD and TTB. Conflict with Goose and it's not speaking to me anyway.

JRAD Weekend: I doubt it sells out. You got Phish in Atlantic City for their only eastern dates, you got Dead & Co tour starting in Raleigh two days later & you can see JRAD alotta places for less than $199. Only chance is if they added a guest.

Goose Weekend: Best chance for a sell out. Goose is on the come up & kinda hard to see. The hype will sell tickets, their fans will show up & HONK and there’s enough down lineup bands to make it a real festival. Grateful Shred is legit, Dawes is good and there’s a few other bands that I’ve seen who are worth it too. This is the best bang for you buck weekend.

TTB weekend: While maybe the best weekend of music for my taste, I doubt this sells out. TTB doesn’t pack asses in seats like that anyways, you’ll have people at other festivals, on Dead & Co tour, on Phish tour, etc... There’s just too many options & people will start to get wore out & broke or maxed out on the ole credit card.

I would totally do the TTB weekend if it were not in August. But the price is higher than I'd like. And it's August so I can't go anyway. Lockn' has been toying with my emotions ever since the dates changed from September to August. Then the change to June and I was back in. Then October and I was back in. Now I'm breaking up with Lockn' for good. But I'm keeping the friends it brought me.

On a brighter note, I already received my refund for the early entry night. $50 down, $900 to go. And if the announcement had been just a few hours earlier I could have bought VIP for Rooster Walk Reunion.

I guess I'm a little salty about this today. But this too shall pass. I wore my Tent Stumblers shirt today because I expected a roller coaster of joy and anger. I guessed right.

I’m not going anywhere. A good community of smartasses is hard to find. But I am sorry I won’t get to meet anyone truly in person, at least not this year.

Unfortunately, I’ll be out on this. Lockn isn’t a weekend getaway for me. It’s something I plan a summer vacation around and none of these individual weekends move the needle enough.

Hopefully, next year they get back to a true festival format.

JRAD is possible for me...would be fun. Medeski and Martin are always fun. I'll echo the others for cost, though...$499 for VIP, (at least) another $149 for camping and fees on top of that?! No additional info as to what $149 gets me other than a camping spot.
