DeadCO Tour Info

Predicting a Winston Salem show at the Wake football field as there as Wake has a "historic" event at the stadium announcement for tomorrow.

I'd guess a tour of mostly smaller to mid sized stadiums as the venues with a few iconic sheds included.

I predict Arrington, VA in the Aug/Sept timeframe

I don't see them playing Autzen the same weekend as the Oregon Country Fair

I think that show is gonna be Paul McCartney, he announced his tour this morning & he fits the “Historic” bill to a “T”.

I agree… at most it’d be them with like an Oteil & Friends set late night & maybe an afternoon thing like David Gans acoustic or some BS. But they play very few non Live Nation venues. I’d say a Hampton run is more likely than Lockn. If & when there’s an announcement, if Bristow’s on the schedule then it’s moot.

If someone were perhaps pondering the idea of going to see a band which may or may not be playing at The Gorge this year... is camping really the only option? Does it sell out?

A couple things…
1.) if you’re going for more than one night then camping is damn near a “must”. It’s in the middle of nowhere & the closet hotel is probably 20-30 minutes away, and they will sell out which makes the next ring of hotels 45-60 minutes away. So camping is recommended & and you’re going the hotel route I’d make reservations ASAP after dates drop, like within minutes. Also, bring everything you need day one, like festival, in & outs isn’t that easy & there’s nowhere to go, really.

2.) It’s fucking hot… and it’s fucking freezing. The day/night shifts can be brutal for people not accustomed & prepared.

3.) it’s not the greatest area to be in… the last time I went in 2018 for Phish there were multiple incidents of violence, it’s well documented on many sites, and I don’t mean pushing & shoving, they were cracking skulls. Dudes slinging gas all had SS Bolts & swastika’s tattooed on them, needles in the camp ground, etc… just not a cool scene. Plus in 2019, the two guys from Cali, got murdered on their way there just outside of Yakima by dudes that killed a family of people up the street & carjacked the deadheads before murdering them & hiding their bodies. There names were Jon Cleary & Josiah Hilderbrand if you wanna read about it. And there’s all the indigenous woman who go missing off the reservations up there.

4.) it won’t sell out day one, may sellout closer to the date. If it’s a multi day weekend thing & there’s no Oregon shows then it may sellout.

I was just thinking if this might be Bill's last go around, then maybe see him at a bucket list venue.

They hired me to write their “Travelocity” add but they didn’t like my 1st draft.

I would agree, unless the Lockn Date is really far out (like Labor Day). Then it’s not too late to announce or if they did a stand alone weekend thing at Lockn Farm they could get away with that in June easy. Lockn is no further from civilization than Alpine is.

Rockstar Rick is saying tour starts in LA first of June & ends in NYC mid July.
