Man I hope they do play the west coast. This whole thing was handled so poorly. I was in a conversation with some friends and they were saying it was all just greed. If it was it was stupid because they would have made way more doing both coasts and Denver and Chicago. Do you really think Trey was chosen to fill seats? Did they underestimate us that bad?

From what I gather he has a great working relationship with a number of the original cast.

Sure. After the folks who just got it wrong completely comes the people who only requested the elusive pit tix. Always better chances requesting more than one kind. We couldn't afford the reserved floor tickets, but did put in requests for the first tier reserved. Never had any illusions about getting GA pit (not pretty enough to be an extra in Scorsese's doc anyway, LOL), but for an extra $20/tix, I figured WTF?

Reports of rejections are running rampant from Alabama and South Carolina to Georgia and Tennessee. My employer here in New Orleans just receieved their rejection letters no more than an hour ago. I am afraid of what awaits me in the mailbox this afternoon.

GDTSTOO may have won this battle, but our sights are now set on February 26 through the 28 (or whenever the public onsale is). We will not be denied again...

PS if anyone scores any extras I would be happy to take them off of your hands.

I had considered this as well. Wonder how many rooms in this hotel, 500? 1000? 10,000? How many of these packages could they possibly offer? I expect there to be a very limited number of this package and that they sell out immediately,but should be no problem getting one of the more expensive packages

Well of course, but all of you old bastards don't have the level of mastery on electronic ticket requests for in demand concerts that I have.

I really don't want to go this way. I have an awesome room reserved at a great hotel downtown by the pier and while I'm sure this place is nice, it seems more of a business conference hotel as opposed to a nice vacation hotel type place.

You won't be in your hotel much anyway. It's just a place to catch some Zs. Life happens outside in Chicago in the summer.

It's the Art Institute. And drop by Grant Park to stand under the Bean for a while. It's mesmerizing. Get a hot dog....anyplace with a Vienna Beef sign. Eat deep dish pizza--I recommend Giordano's. Get some popcorn from Garrett's--the caramel cheddar mix. Go to the lounge at the top of the John Hancock Building and order a drink. Awesome view without having to pay the sky deck charge...the drink is actually cheaper. If you have the time or inclination, take an architecture tour by boat. You won't regret it.
