honestly, i'd rather see cheese at red rocks. yes i love the grateful dead, but i don't have the same reverence for them that many of you do. i feel like in my generation, among the hippie culture, it has become somewhat trendy to be a huge dead fan. i respect what they did, i love the culture of the people that follow them, but i enjoy many of the active jam bands much more. then again, maybe that's cause i was never fortunate enough to see the dead live.

More reports this AM of people having their money orders cashed. I've seen at least 3 independent reports so I am starting to give the idea quite a bit of credence. Doesn't do me any good as they are all western union and mine are usps. still an encouraging sign.

Man if John is for real some people are gonna be really ticked.I would have gone to the Chi shows anyways, I'm in MI so it's much closer to me than New York or SF. Also it says "the band was as surprised as the postal service by the overwhelming demand for tickets." You would hope that they would rethink just 3 shows & only one city. But I don't think that will happen. They may be at each others throats by the end of 3 shows. But I'm a dreamer.
