In past years they've started at $250 then gone up to $285.so for us non ballers, how much is regular GA? I skipped lumni tix this year.

It will be interesting to see, since the VIP base ticket is up $100--or maybe $200, I don't recall but will check.
But with a younger crowd that Phish will bring, the shoulder ride bearers will the stronger and swifter.

If you plan on staying on site, you need a camping or RV pass even for VIP or SVIP. Does VIP tix require a separate car camping pass as well, or is that assumed to be included in the VIP ticket price?

I'll handle the shoulder ride question since last year as someone new, I had the same question.
Basically, us VIP/SVIP ticket holders are superior in just about every way and therefore the unwashed masses of the common folk are obligated, nay honored, to carry us around on their shoulders thus saving us the energy to get our superior boogie dance all day and night. But w/ great power comes great responsibility and thus our fondess to remind the riff raff of their obligation. And the stuff about peace and love.

I thought it was over crowded but 'close' walk to the stages and view section was pure bliss.that's what I pay for...will be very curious how they set up the view this year.

It got a little crowded at times, but I was always able to work my way close to the rail. The real value to me is the proximity to the stage and our camp site. Year 1, we were part of the GA unwashed masses parked up on RV Ridge. It was a hike to get back and forth. Last year, in VIP RV, I could hear the music and see one of the screens from our site. That allowed me to pace myself (it's a marathon, not a sprint). Another advantage is clearing security to gain access to the stage field. Coming in from GA, there were lines and full on searches. VIP, we'd walk past a single CID staffer into the air conditioned tent, grab a beer, and off to the stage. There's also a platform in VIP where you can go and sit down and watch the music (I didn't use this feature though).I have a simple question. Hehehe....I might need some of those shoulder rides - given that my legs are surgical roadmaps....
But on a more serious note, that's the primary reason I am interested in VIP - I have mobility issues from orthopedic surgeries from clubfoot. I need the convenience of proximity. But at a grand a pop, I'm not sure we can swing it. Has me wondering if ADA might be the way to go....I have the appropriate documentation/vehicle placard for that, and wonder if I can get some of the proximity conveniences without the huge cost of VIP.
When VIP tix for these fests were running $500-600, it was a no brainer for us - but $1000 is a tougher number to do accounting with.

Worf and I camped in ADA year two and it was pretty awesome. You get great proximity without the extra cost. They also gave us golf cart rides to and from the stage if we needed it. And there's a shaded ADA platform where you can sit at the stages. If it's really about the proximity rather than the other benefits and you have a handicapped placard, ADA is definitely the way to go.

What about showers? Do you have to go to the GA showers on the other side of the property? If so, are there rides available to that? Any chance rides are available to the late nights?

If I remember correctly there were ADA showers there, though we didn't use them. Rides to the late night stages were not the best organized the year we were in ADA, but they did exist. And you can always do the FestyCab for a fee if it comes to that.
