For you ballers out there

No telling how they will do anything. The web site is still missing all the info like fax, news, questions. The only thing they have is buying tickets. Hope they get it back up & running with more announcements.

Over the past two years I found the website, for information, only marginally useful, and reliable only within a few days of the event.

I think lots of people, including me, want too much detail in advance because we are so excited, we want to imagine what it will be like. But those who lock into the details can end up disappointed because things will change. Those who are not able, and ready, to be flexible end up griping the most. For example, I initially felt disappointed in my second year with my camping area because it wasn't as good as the previous year--but actually, only slightly, and ultimately, it didn't matter at all. I got over it by the time I got to the beer exchange!

I recall what some new-found friends told me my first year--my first fest--as we sat in perfect weather, perfect set-up, perfect views, sound from the stage, and at least 6 campsites around us with instant best friends: "Dude, if THIS is your first fest, you are so screwed for the rest of your life b/c everything has worked out perfect." Of course, they were being somewhat facetious but the point was true--and next year, starting with a storm and a whole day gone, and through a whole series of circumstances where many "line-item" things my second year weren't as good as the first, I recalled that conversation--and overall, the next year ended up as good as the first, but for different reasons.

it ended up being ok because we were camped next to the triangle stage that they forget to tell anyone about.

It usually starts around 4:00pm.  If you do VIP there is a free BBQ lunch Thursday afternoon, and it has been pretty good in the past.

Quick question.... I booked the VIP tent rental butbut my dumb friend already booked the glamping tent instead. I called CID and they said they weren't sure about this year but that the tents were generally in the same area, but she seemed confused and unsure. Anyone have any first hand info on where these tents are located in relation to each other? Would we be able to do a proximity request and camp next to each other ?

So anyone listening to the facebook livestream thing yesterday, I know VIP viewing area won't be the same place as it was last year, was there any indication of where specifically it would be?  thanks.

Thanks for the info. These are all the big tents with furniture, made the "mistake" of doing this for a fest once last year with my wife, and now its the only way she'll fly. The smaller tents are something else. What is confusing is that CID has basically 2 classes of Furnshed tents, the regular VIP tent rental and the VIP Glamping tent rental.

From what I gather from the site and the chats with CID is that 2 different companies set them up, with the higher end glamping having nicer furnature, etc. I could care less if my already over the top for a festival queen bed is the fancier one or not, but my dumbass friend rushed to book and got the more expensive one already. So apparently to be next to them I need to drop the extra coin , or just do the poverty glamp tent and be close enough. Anyone on here see the inside of these things and notice a big difference between the two?

I think all the wall tents are set up near each other so the two classes will be in the same area. They have been all in a row on top of a ridge
