Also free water/soft drinks, and beer sales in the stage area--at night you can't leave your spot near the stage to buy, or return, beer and then get back to your spot. At L2 the VIP beer was cheaper and better choices; failed on both accounts at L3.

Not saying that's "worth it" alone in price difference but it was a good feature.

The two free VIP meals were good but so was the vendor food, which was sold at a fair price.

DO IT, DO IT, DO IT. You won't regret it. I do SVIP for the big bucks & this will be year 3 & I'm glade I did.  They treat you real good. And of course you have the famous shoulder rides. The tent with free water & soft drinks & private drink station on site is also nice. DO IT, DO IT, DO IT!!!

I am doing it, buying today before I talk myself out of it. Very very excited.

Oh and one other question....where was the ADA viewing platform in the show?

The one year that we were ADA it was a little ways back on the right side.  I think it was still there last year.  You won't be on the rail.  And you won't have a platform on both sides.  Frankly....we never used it.  But we did use it as a marker and always set up our chairs somewhere near it.

Bought it, VIP, thought i was gonna get charged an upcharge on the service fee's but I was mistaken. Very very excited.

Here's a promo video Lockn' put up on YouTube last year, that I find interesting, not having attended before, and I want to ask a few things about it. Pay attention to the swing/panning shot of the show area at 42-45 seconds in....I froze it at various points of the video in that few second time frame to get a good look at the layout of the main stage viewing areas.

Does anyone know if the ADA platform is shown anywhere in that shot?

I noticed that there are two platforms just behind the soundboard, to the left and to the right. Are those VIP? It also appears that the VIP area runs between those two platforms all the way down the center and front of the stages.

I also find that it's better to click on the "Lockn' Arrival" title to click through to YouTube to get a full screen look. Pretty revealing shot...

that's not it; that's one of two VIP platforms. Look over to the right, on the edge of the crowd. I assume there was another one on the other side but don't recall; that one is closest to the entrance, beer and bathrooms.

It didn't appear to be controlled--what is?--so it is likely people who didn't need it, used it. Sadly, that's the way of the ADA world now. Hence, more restrictions are likely--and denying access to those who could use it.

But since no viewing areas are covered, I wouldn't think this one would be either.

For newcomers, that shows the VIP area in the center, sound booth and behind it, VIP beverage concession, and two VIP platforms back in the corners. A band is playing on the stage at the top right, based on crowd size. You can see both stages from in front of either one. Back behind the sound booth is the food tent and way way behind that is the line of craft beer tents. Sierra Nevada was the only choice in the general beer tents--one is between VIP and food, others on the side.

So, you think it's this one, smose? Or is that another VIP one? Jeez, did they even have an ADA platform last year?

correct--that's a VIP. I didn't see an ADA on that side of the field but may have missed it; there's one on the other side but in this picture it's swarmed but you can make it out at the edge of the crowd--draw a line from front of sound booth to that white plat roof, left to right
