I have two VW camper a 62 and a 74. 62 has one bed and the 74 is a pop top and has two beds. I'm not going to be able to make it to lockn this year and was wondering if anyone would want to rent them for the lockn' What do you think?

Great offer, hopefully someone can use it. Maybe post your location?

This is THE website for renting your RV to another individual, has a lot of resources to make the whole thing work ie insurance and so forth.

Would this be a wise investment for filling my water tanks if I plan on using 7 Gal jugs to replenish? or should I look for a bigger one?
For most rvs you need an angled funnel.
Or a funnel that goes into a flexible hose so it can go at an angle.
I made my own out of pvc parts after having so much trouble.

Also, I use this device to extend my dump tank capacity. It blacks the common outlet for dumping the gray and black tanks.
www.amazon.com/Valterra-T58-Twist-On-Waste-Valve/dp/B000BGHYJS/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1500252784&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=rv+dump+valve+add+on
In my class A my fresh tank is 65 gallons, black tank 55 gallons, grey tank 60 gallons.
No way you could come near filling a black tank during a 4 day festival. However, with my wife (not one but two showers per day!) and some teenagers like I got you can fill the grey tank or at least empty the fresh tank.
So when the fresh tank empties, I keep this outer valve shut, open both grey and black, they equalize, (grey water flows into black tank), now I have more grey tank capacity, pour some more jugs of water into the fresh tank and keep going.
Of course, after the festival, I flush both grey and black tanks real well.
I have made it through several 4 day festivals like this,

Most of the time the accessory gate valve just acts as a backup in case the primary valves jiggle open going down the road.

If you are going to buy one, there are some variables to consider. The ones that cost under $200 will protect your rig from a surge, but the really low price ones won't reset themselves automatically after a surge. So you are headed down to the music at 11 am in the Lockn heat with your AC and fridge running, and a few minutes later there is a surge from the generator and the protector sees it and shuts off. All good, but when you come back to camp 12 hours later, your AC and fridge haven't been on all day and it's 100+ degrees inside. So if you shop for one make sure it has automatic reset with time delay.
the ones that are $250 plus will turn themselves back on after a surge once they are satisfied that everything is cool again with the power. You come back 12 hours later and it's like nothing ever happened. They will also shut down if the voltage is too low, a situation that can damage your AC compressor.
The other variable is portable vs hard wired. The portable ones plug into the junction box at the festival and then you plug your power cord into them. Simple, but you are leaving a $250 very handy and theftable device laying out in the open. Some have metal rings on them so you can secure them with a cable lock. The other choice is an internal one that is hard wired to your circuit breaker box in the rig. Installation consists of cutting the feed and inserting the box and hooking up three wires on each side. Electrically, it's not rocket science, but it can be a pain in the ass as it could be in very cramped quarters. But it's theft proof.
thus concludes my surge lecture. www.trailerlife.com/tech/diy/power-protection/

I did read this but are the more expensive ones better at preventing whatever it is that causes the melting of the two cords at the connection point?

My plan would be to try and attach to end of a funnel, or to see if it will fit the containers I will use for carrying water. Any thoughts?

I bring two of these www.amazon.com/dp/B001QC31G6/ref=asc_df_B001QC31G65085427/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=394997&creativeASIN=B001QC31G6&linkCode=df0&hvadid=194852051030&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12532568976775001080&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9008885&hvtargid=pla-309679368222 and use them for my extra water. I then take a cpap hose and that fits onto the spout of this container and into my fresh water tank. No pressure is required and there is no flap inside. I will probably buy one of these that you show above.
