Here's one more. There was a recall on Kidde fire extinguishers a couple of years ago. If you have a Kidde you can check it against this web page and if you have one that was recalled they will send you a new one for free. Mine was on this list and I received the new one at no charge.

you can't have too many and the old ones, if the gauge shows it's still good, sometimes work and sometimes don't, so keep them as a spare. And shake them every year.
There is a two digit number in the base that is the year of manufacture.
I bring a couple for tent camping and leave them outside my vehicle in prominent places--I worry much more about my neighbors than myself.

First Timer at this festival .and First time doing an RV.. any local people have a recommendation on RV Rentals in the area? Driving down from NY, I think it would be easier to pick up something closer to the festival grounds. Thanks!

Welcome to the board, we've been waiting for you. I don't know what type of RV you are planning to rent but a quick search turned up some really good rates on some RVs not far from the festival grounds.First Timer at this festival .and First time doing an RV.. any local people have a recommendation on RV Rentals in the area? Driving down from NY, I think it would be easier to pick up something closer to the festival grounds. Thanks!

Better grab one quick; they get mighty thin when you get closer to the date.
Also by getting one nearby at the last minute, you are at the mercy of the dealer when something goes wrong. My RV friends have had that happen, like "Sorry your RV was in a wreck in Rhode Island."

Most reputable dealers have contingency plans for that reason. They will rent a demo model if need be. Ask about if that situation occurs. They hate to turn down your money.

My RV camper is 15 years oldI will be attending my 1st Lockn since my go to festival, Wanee is no more. Its a long drive for me coming from Tampa. I have a Fleetwood Timberlake popup I will be towing. I strongly recommend getting your wheels checked out. My RV tires are small so they spin a lot on a long tow. I just got my wheel bearings greased and repacked. Glad I did it, peace of mind while towing
Tires are only good for a maximum of 10 years
Tires continue to cure over time regardless of being out in the sun or stored in the dark like my RV in the garage.
The 2 tires the RV rides on are 6years old and 1 year old
The spare is 15 years old. It looks perfect, hardly ever used, but its unsafe due to age
Just went to Costco to replace
Be careful RV'ers. make sure all tires younger then 10 years including the spare most people ignore

Thanks for sharing. I think that 10 years is WAY too long to run an RV tire. Typical recommendation is that RV tire life is 3 to 5 years. If you run the hell out of them change them out every 3 years. If you don't use them quite as much you can wait until the 5 year mark. Oh and 5 years is how old the tire is, not how long you have had them on your trailer. Very important to know the tire manufacture date. I highly recommend the Goodyear Endurance as a replacement. This is the only American made trailer tire and the only D rated 15" trailer tire on the market. Most trailer tires have a max speed rating of 65 mph. The Endurance is speed rated to 87 mph. will I pull my RV 87 mph? Hell no but there will be times when I pull at 70-75 mph based on conditions.

Yea different tire that was never intended to be used on Class A RVs. Glad they don't make them anymore. I however have been more than pleased with the performance of the Endurance and will continue to recommend them.

Question regarding water
Got a Moma Bear spot
Its a popup with a hot shower.
Main tank 20 gallons, 6 gallon hot water tank
Is there any water nearby where I can fill jugs to bring back to my camper
Went to Bonnaroo many years ago. They had water spigots in the camp ground but lines were long. Some people used a spigot for 20 mins they bathed

On this map, the Momma Bear water spigots are at the tip of the yellow arrow. I was camped by it last year, and I didn’t see any lines, nor any bathing. There was ice for sale and a few food trucks at that spot as well. Question regarding water

Bring a wagon. 5 gallons of water 💦 is approximately 41 lbs. Even if water is in the same place as last year, there is no guarantee you will be near it.However, because the water stations are portable, they can be set up anywhere. They are not conducive to bathing, as they were in years past.
But anyway you should bring extra water in jerry cans; it might be a hike.

Those in forest camping can construct a travois.

I am a Forest camper. I use one of these. It is rugged enough to handle a 5 gal jerrycan of water. (Maybe 2 if you're careful) good idea, for that and ice. and not a flimsy fold-up job but something sturdy. Even a hand truck with big tires would serve well, maybe better.
Those in forest camping can construct a travois.

It's the wheel size that is crucial. Bigger is better. (Had to look up 'travois'. No thanks!)

We have the same wagon, only it's the 'beach' version. Exactly the same except for the wheel/tire kit.

My RV fits in a baby bear spot (which I bought) but I need 30 amps instead of 15 - the main webpage said that ALL the GA RV passes included 30 and the 15 amp info was buried on the specific RV spot page which I missed. Anyone know how hard it might be to upgrade my power? No one at Lockn / ticketing can help me because the tickets have already been issued....I'm happy to move up / pay for Momma Bear but no one seems to be able to help - anyone know anyone who might actually answer the phone? Any advice more than welcome! THANKS!
