Justin Townes Earle, age 38.

This is sad. He was Steve Earle's son but also a very talented songwriter in his own right, and was quite independent, at times, of his father. Named after Townes Van Zandt, one of Steve's great influences.

I just heard his "I am my father's son" on the radio, which was hard to listen to. I'll put up a link to the show later for you.

Friends, this show has great theme compilations with interesting narrative; he's not afraid to mix in the top-40 tunes that fit, for the memories they evoke, no matter how bad the song was.
