I’ve been a fan of Jerry Jeff since the 70s, and I met him at a show in Charlottesville at the old Starr Hill Music Hall some years ago.
He used to have a big beach house in Belize. He would have these annual events where you could go down there and he would do informal small shows at his home. But by the time I was in a position to go, he had fallen ill and discontinued the event.

Idiot Wind: MSNBC Apologizes After Reporting That Bob Dylan Died Last Year

MSNBC viewers this weekend were temporarily tangled up in blue after learning that American folk legend Bob Dylan had died in 2019.
The thing is, though, that Dylan did not die last year. He is still very much alive, thankfully, and still producing his unique brand of Americana folk-rock featuring lyrics that are by turn geniusly confusing and confusingly genius.
During a news update about a lost trove of unpublished Bob Dylan documents, including lyrics were sold at auction for $495,000 to an anonymous buyer, MSNBC host Richard Lui said on Saturday that “Dylan dying last year at the age of 79.” Curiously, Australias’s Today Show also referred to Dylan as the “late singer” as it aired a montage of the singer’s clips.
Later in the This Week with Joshua Johnson, the host corrected the record and apologized for the error.

More of a actor/comedian but RIP the same. Classic comedy bit reworked included.
David L. Lander (June 22, 1947 – December 4, 2020) was an American character actor, comedian, musician, and baseball scout who was best known for his portrayal of Squiggy on the sitcom Laverne & Shirley. He also served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

McKean was more the musician of the duo, but you can't have Lenny & The Squigtones without Squiggy. Here they are, appropriately enough, with one of my favorite Christmas songs. Notice Howard "Dr. Johnny Fever" Hesseman as the doctor.

Charlie Pride at age 86. He was amazing and what a voice! Could have easily gone Lou Rawls' route but was a trailblazer, well loved and respected.
The COVID got him.
