Actually, the best piece of advice I received last year (my first festival ever) was to bring a foot-long sub for the first day's food. Eat half for lunch and half for dinner so you don't have to futz around with cooking when you've just set up. Turns out that for me both the lunch half and the dinner half were consumed in the field of broken dreams. And without that sub I would have been very hangry from trying to sustain myself on Clif bars and trail mix.You bring some peanut butter and I'll bring some granola bars. I contacted CID a few weeks ago and was told that Wednesday entry for VIP was not going to happen this time. This really sucks because last year my buds and I were among the first 2 or 3 campers in. Entry was a breeze everything went very smoothly because they let us line up Wednesday evening. Seems kind of obvious to get a crap load of RV's off the road ahead of time.

So is their a different entrance for VIP? Where I am going with this I know VIP have a different entrance but if the highway is clogged up what is the point?

last year VIP got to come in a little early in a different entrance and were allowed to set up camp and sleep it out and get in in a different line thurs morning.

Last year they called off early Wed. entry at the last minute. We showed up Wed. anyway, with a few hundred other folks. At that point they said fuggit and staged us in line to wait overnight. Planning to do the same thing this year. Coming from the south the last 24 hour Wal-Mart is in Lynchburg. we will be stopping there for final ice down and forgotten sundry items and then heading for the line Wednesday night.

There is a KOA 30ish miles north of Arrington. I have reservations there just in case. AFAIK KOA does not frown on the wobblys.

I will be in line wednesday night for sure. There is no way im gonna be waiting in line for like 12 hours like i did at bonaroo years ago. People make sure you fill up those gas tanks before getting in line!!!!
