Festy 2018 Oct. 5-7

Nah. Should be any day now. I bought tickets last year on 1/16/17.

Zero cross over between artists. Not a factor, at all.

Stingdusters, Sam Bush, Cabinet, McCroury's, Drive By Truckers, North Mississippi Allstars, Anders Osbourne, Lyle Lovitt, Joan Osborne, Keller Williams, Jerry Douglas--all have played Festy; some have played Lockn, all would fit in well at Lockn. I'm not saying the Lockn headliners are a factor but it only make sense, with there being some common interests now, that they plan and coordinate at the lower tier of Lockn with the Festy top end, to some extent.

You are correct, there is some cross over. Don't see this as delaying any announcement. They could sort this out over lunch...

Actually, this is kind of a wake-up call that I'll soon have more tickets to purchase.  I already have Peach and Dark Star Jubilee on my latest credit card statement, and now I need to gear up for buying Festy and hopefully moe.down.  My wallet hurts!!!

I just heard that Dead & Co is playing two nights at Festy, two sets each, with TBB, and WSP closing Friday. Some other guy confused it with another festival nearby.

Well...Dave had been saying that he wanted to build a country/grass festival.  Looks like he did it the old fashioned way and just bought one.

I think I'll wait for a few details before jumping in blind this year.  I liked Festy a lot...therefore it must be changed.  Dave Frey hates me.

I ended up skipping last year b/c I forgot to buy camping! I love the vibe of Festy past, but it’s not very conducive to my son’s school schedule.

Whatever Frey has up his sleeve I hope that vibe continues.
