Welcome! I'm looking forward to my third Festy. Worf and I will be in the RV area. It's my understanding that the campgrounds won't open until Friday morning this year. Since the music starts pretty early on Friday and we have a pretty long drive, we'll probably drive down on Thursday and stay in a campground down there Thursday night. There are showers for a price ($10 maybe? I've never splurged on one.). The vendors have been great in my experience. Good food. Reasonable prices. And they only caught on fire that one year (long story....).

Bring boots and raincoat if the weather looks at all soggy. Bring warm clothes for evening. Bring cool clothes for sunny afternoons. Layers are king. Bring a great attitude, a chair for the stage area, and a healthy appetite (because I make the best grilled cheese ever).

Bring all of your questions to our forum, and also take a look at festyforum.com/. We've been pretty quiet there with all of the recent Lockn' doings, but perhaps we can rejuvenate it a bit.

Trying to coordinate camping with Sneake/Lobster. I'm sure the day of we'll almost have a plan.

At least we know of a base camp...and I can set up beer cans from your camp back to ours for them to follow.

Absolutely! Feel free to use our camp as home base/place to store stuff (beer) near the stage/etc., much like y'all did with Andi's camp at Lockn'.

Warning: one of my friends from another forum I participate in (the T@G camper forum) will be there in his blue and white version of our little camper, and I've invited him to join us for grilled cheese and meet this rowdy group of folks. He's a Lockn' guy as well.

This is correct. All music is going to be on the main stage...so no more hustling back and forth, which actually makes me pretty happy.

This is a good example of luxury over necessity to me. Fine October weather (and the more than likely rain) really doesn't make this all that worthwhile. I don't think I could drink the difference and not enough people to worry about overcrowding views/portapots and so on.

On a slightly different topic, been listening to Sons of Bill, and I'm really digging it. A purrrty southern bit o' country alternative rockish mellowish kind of thing. Not to be too specific.
