Seriously, I mentioned this before; I have a rather large belt pack that one day could be a fanny pack and the next a backpack without straps.

If the point of the rule is size--a searcher can go through, or you can empty, a small pack quickly but some people arrive with backpacks the size of a parachute.

Put the contents of whatever pack you use in a clear bag for quick viewing.

If it's raining or threatening these rules are going to be a nightmare.

I suggest bringing a small cable lock--you can make one out of SS cable. Then if your gear is denied you can lock it to the fence and get it later. Put your phone number on it.

Last year my tent site was as far as possible from the gate, which is also where the showers were. It would be nice to make one trip

I can't see any difference between a camelback empty and a backpack. I could easily fit what I need to carry in my camelback if I left out the bladder.

The camelback is easier to search than a backpack. This and the fanny pack exception make me think the issue is size.

Says the hydration pack is allowed. Does NOT say that the pack that usually holds the bladder is allowed. Put that bladder into a clear backpack and you're in business.

They’re saying on social media comments (and getting roasted) that those that double as a backpack are not allowed. So it’s clear as mud.
