You just can't drive away from your camp site and drive back. You can drive away once from your camp site and park in day parking for the duration--bad move. You can come and go from day parking as much as you like but you have to have the parking pass for the days you park. So with a four day parking pass you can leave a car overnight in day parking. Lots of RV people will have one of their crew park outside and walk in, to give access to an outside car. VIP has complimentary day parking included. Rules for chairs have not changed. Don't overthink it. Clear bag for your chair is not required. Same as it ever was...Nothing (so far) about chairs; in the past they and other events have been quite explicit about height, where they can go, etc.
Since the whole "bag" thing is to facilitate the search at the entrance, I can't see why you can't bring the chair without the bag, and further, have the empty bag stuffed into the big clear bag. Then once you are inside, you can put the chair back into the bag for carrying.
But expect some chair rules. When? **soon**

I don't think so. That caught my eye, too....Not that I was entertaining any such activity...Forty years ago(?), possibly. 
The above mentioned rule is listed under Showfield Prohibited Items as well as Campground/Lockn’ property rules.

Hey yall! First post here, getting real excited to head to Arrington in just a few short weeks! So I had heard about the changes to 2018's Prohibited Items and discovered the backpack ban in the show field. I use one of those Tommy Bahama backpack chairs, which have a big ol' pouch attached to the back of them - said pouch is way bigger than the allowed 4.5” x 5.5”... I like to use that as my bag to hold my tapestry, water bottle, car keys, etc rather than bringing a back pack around town any way. My question is do any of y'all know whether that matters or not?

Beer has water in it, just drink that.That's what it sounds like I'm going to have to do....I'll just but a cheap clear backpack and put my hydro pack in that. That's not going to ruin my weekend but it is kind of annoying and they should have made this clear a lot sooner than now.
Oh, I plan on bringing a shit ton of beer.....I work at a brewery so I'll be fully stocked up! I still love my regular old h2o though. We are going to have a car parked in day parking with a couple extra cases and backup cooler. Plus, we will be able to make ice runs if needed at that food lion instead of buying their overpriced ice inside fest.

I suggest you leave the backpack part empty when you come in. Bring your stuff in a clear bag. Once you are inside, put it in the backpack. It's all about security not having to root around in a pack.

I had a few small glass jars of condiments in my cooler in my Rv and they made me empty each one,.luckily I had plastic bags.they do a less intense search in your Rv if you have one .i wrapped up my coffee cups in towels cause I hate those styrofoam cups but I may try to find a metal one this year.So, you are literally allowed no glass items at your campsite? Or a kitchen knife with which to cut your fruits and veggies? Or, only so much alcohol?
I can't imagine they search every vehicle. Is it just if they see you with something when they're cruising by?
