Lockn' 2020: The Early Days

To be fair Wanee made the same announcement before they folded but there is still hope.

I'll say it first: Neil Young.

Now no one else has to say it. Ever.

I think there's enough artists that missed/cancelled to put on a festival. Neil, Further, the Thursday acts from L3, the list goes on.

Maybe next year they'll hold it in Downtown Charlottesville...

Those days might have passed us by.  These days protests are hi-tech - encrypted apps, portable routers, laser pointers, smart bandanas, masks and glasses that spoof facial recognition software.

I can see us come rolling into the middle of that with hand-painted signs and guitars now...

Warren Haynes and Dave Mathews were jamming this weekend at the Gorge. I could see it at the farm; I've changed my mind about DMB fitting in.

Dave organized the concert for Charlottesville and it was phenomenal.Please ask him...he’s a local?..

Has this group ever had a picture in the Lockn' Times?

I think that should be a goal for next year.

All we need is someone with an instagram account and TOO and his cronies with influence and we are in!

This group has pretty much flown under the radar since the beginning. We are not nearly as well known as the Lockn Festival Family group on Facebook (which is a spin off of this one) and that is OK. It would be nice if our contributions to the festival, however small, would be acknowledged. In fact I think Lockn is just starting to acknowledge that we are different from the LFF. I was really hoping that our 2018 group drone video would make the cut for the highlight reels but alas that didn't happen. I have an IG account so next year I will post our picture and tag some of the Lockn team and Relix and see what happens. Heck one group of my friends had their picture in the Lockn times 3 times this year alone!
