I heard some interesting cuts off of that one on the radio here

Intentionally small and pricey.

They just created the same vibe one gets from being lucky enough (?) to buy a ticket to Dead & Co. And that vibe is not a positive one. Nor is the vibe from all the disappointed fans.

Floydfest's promoters have now walked away from the old "home grown" feel and long time alumni will not be happy--so let's see if the line up continues to move away from bluegrass, new grass and Americana.

All in all, good for them that they are so successful. Too bad for us that they are so successful.

To be clear, I have no fault with those who got in and they will have a great time, at a great looking venue and in manageable crowd, all on one site.

A tent site without "car camping" is a non-starter for me; too risky for major uphill-both-ways schlepping. 

The line-up doesn't do anything for me, either.  Looks like they are leaving bluegrass, if this is the opening shot. In that respect, hitting the Lockn' market.

My guess, based on some speculation last year, is that with the move, they are looking for a smaller crowd.  Thus the higher admission/camping charges.

I'm sure whoever goes will have fun.  TEHO.  Certainly not being critical here.

I made tomatillo/chicken/white bean chili yesterday and used the Tajin along with my usual chili spices--turned out great. I put it with the spices on the sauteed vegetables, before adding corn flour and then liquid.  But I think the lime punch diminishes with cooking, so added a little more to the bowl just before serving and it stood out well.

I recently smoked some jalapeno and other red chilis and made chipotle sauce.

I think I'm going to be adding Tajin to a lot of things. The lime flavor is more akin to zest than juice.  But you have to watch the salt balance.

DeadCo just added a couple of dates to their "final" never any more never again t-t-t-that's all folks tour. Hope for Lockn'?
