Today I'm Thankful For

I am very thankful that I woke up out of general anesthesia yesterday. Before I went under I thought about all the things I was grateful for in my life and the Lockn Forum was one of them. I love the humor, discussions, advice, sarcasm, kindness and above all the fantastic people I have met through here. I held you all in my heart when I went for my little sleep.

The Dr told Bob that my surgery went well. I was able to go home after a couple hour stay in the recovery room. Unfortunately the anesthesia and pain meds made me very nauseous and sick. Thankfully I am feeling better this morning and can switch to just Tylenol for pain. I will have to lay low for the next 2 weeks. Hopefully at my follow-up appt next week my doctor will give me a thumbs up to go to Lockn. I’m pretty sure dancing will be out though. Might need to temporarily change my name to Toe Taper Head Bobber.

I'll bet we could build this in no time at all.  Looseankles is a mere slip of a thing, I sure there will be bearers lining up to help. (I would help, but that darn wristband exemption thing...)

Today I am thankful for the friends I have made through the internet. Looseankles got the feelings going the other day so it has been on my mind.

Then the post about Wayne yesterday morning.

Then last night I learned a friend I have played online games with for years passed away.

It is crazy how close you can become to someone without ever meeting in real life. So thankful I at least get to spend time with some of you.

Thankful I'll be seeing Sue on the Farm for my 8th Lockin' !!

I keep circling back to this but today I am thankful for you! I am amazed at the outpouring of love and generosity that comes from you guys. It is felt and much appreciated. I'm thankful for the smosey wales stealth drive by to drop off some beers (didn't see that one coming) even though he lives 3 hours from here. I am thankful for the use of the KneeRover from my friend Eric, that was pretty fucking cool. I'm thankful for the comraderie, the witty banter and the smartassery that goes down here. Today I am especially thankful for an act of kindness and generosity that goes above and beyond anything that I deserve. Thank you Raff . You rock and I can't wait to meet you.
