Free beer! Also, I recently got a screw in my tire. Went back to the place I got the tires to get them repaired and I, too, had purchased the insurance, to my surprise. Fixed for free in 20 minutes. Score.

Update on the trunk beers. I started with the can whose bottom had bubbled out.

The normally frisky Pabst flavor had mellowed slightly but gained subtle pleasant hints of rubber and tar. The expanded can volume reduced the exiting carbonation level and that paired nicely with the lightly dispersed gritty layer of trunk gunk that covered the can's rim. Surprisingly the gunk added to filling out the body of this finely aged, violently shook, and repeatedly heated/frozen classic American Lager. I'm thinking about bringing the remaining 2 trunk beers to the M&G to get some of your expert opinions.

Update to the update about the trunk beers:

I'm not sure what is happening but 2 days after I removed the leftover Lockn trunk beers my trunk imploded.

It sucked in towards those missing trunk beers like there was a Black Hole in there. I feel luck I was able to stomach the deformed can and still live. Am I hearing Black Helicopters? Yes. It's time to disguise the remaining two trunks beers and hit the road towards Burning Man before "the Man" finds out about the awesome power of forgotten Pabst. Wish us luck Fam.

P.S. Yes I'm milking this max view window.

Easter!

Right now our Spring is beautiful with all the new and rebirth. Even my oldest daughter is going to have my first grandchild--a girl--but that's a ways off.

For me, it is the most significant religious holiday. And I love the way our customs have blended traditional celebrations of new and returned life with Christian theology so that it remains a day (or time) for all to celebrate in happiness and harmony.

Now go bite the head off a chocolate bunny!

Hello Everyone! I'm thankful for all of you and the friendships we've cultivated throughout the years. It's true we probably won't make Lockn this year (financially things are crazy tight), and seeing everyone so excited made me sad, so I took a break. So much else was going on, dark times my friends. I am thankful beyond measure that my third and youngest daughter graduated from college Saturday. A theater manager, she manages and DJs for the college radio station, and works at an NPR affiliate at another nearby university. A multiple Lockn, Roo, and Floyd veteran, her blue sky life goal is to work for a music festival production company.

having a place to go and just be the drunken dufus that I am. Just got back from my first fest of the season and there is nothing better than being in a campground where you can't walk 20 feet without someone offering you a beer or a seat to hang out. It reminds me of why I like this site so much.
