Peach Festival 2019

3 stages go at the same time. Camping is awful. A bear. But probably the best experience. If you camp you will constantly be going up hills and down. On my Fitbit one year i think we averaged about 100 “floors” a day. It’s a calf killer.

The wagons run constantly throughout the weekend. Pavilion is the main. It’s a bear of a festival, the most intense I’ve been to. And I’ve been to bonnaroo several times (which used to be by far the worst)

So I bought myself a Christmas present...

A bit bored so I made a clashfinder for Peach.  Haven't looked into the days very well, so I'm sure there are many changes

Pure guess based on last year's schedule and me seeing where I think people would fit in.

Only things we know for sure is: Cheese on Thu/Fri and JRAD on Sat.  I assume Phil is Sunday.

Probably March - tho we may get an Umphreys announce after their show takes place in the area.

Don't think Umphreys will be there this year, they just got announced for Bisco yesterday (the week before) and are on the west cost the weekend after Peach.  I guess they could stick around Scranton though.

Last year they announced additions on March 8th, and the Cabinet performance on April 25th.  Should be soon.

Well I think it's about 90 days till Peach so I'll tell one of my tales from my first and only Peach Music Festival experience.



It was around 7:15 in the morning (photo timestamp says 7:27) after a full night of craziness. My campsite on the road was earlier the starting line for the wagon races and after things died down my new friend from Key West(I'll call him Tom) and I were drinking Jim Beam and Pabst/Budweiser. Things were very quiet when he walked downhill to take a leak at the Porta-potty.



When he came back a girl was following him yelling "Tom, Why wont you take your baby. Take responsibility for what you brought into this world." She was carrying a very realistic child doll. Tom sat down looking pretty creeped out. I asked what the fuck is going on? He said when he was walking down to the Porta-potty she asked him how he was doing and asked his name. When he came back up the hill she was standing there with the baby. The whole time he is telling me the situation the crazy woman keeps thrusting the doll at us and yelling "Tom, be a man and except your responsibilities. Please take your child Tom. Why don't you love your child". After a couple of minutes of us uncomfortably ignoring her shouts she proclaimed "I'm putting our child in this crib for you to take care of" then walked to a storm destroyed popup next to my camp and deposited the doll.



The experience was one of the more fucked up things I've ever witnessed at a festival/multi-day show but Peach was full of fucked up scenes. I loved it. As a side note I noticed that dismembered baby doll parts started showing up in the Porta-potty bowl and urinals on Friday so on Sunday I asked some camp neighbors with many Peaches under their belts about this "Fuckery" and was told it wasn't new. I'll just say it was a different type of crowd. Can't wait.

P.S. Not sure why I was up 2 1/2 hours later but some pranksters got to work quick. link

 I've seen one of those "babies" at Lockn' and definitely done a double take.
